Werlé Of Beverly Hills gown from Dan Werlé

Dan Werlé dressed some of films best known women. His gowns were sold at Saks Fifth Avenue he also dressed Loretta Young for ”The Loretta Young Show’ From 1953 to 1961.

The Dress:

Empire waist with coral pleated chiffon full circle skirt. Hand beaded seashell and crystal adorned cream tone bodice. Zipper closer in there back. A little bit of room to let out.

Materials:

Under layer most likely polyester

Full circle is chiffon, feels like silk chiffon but not certain.

Seashell and crystal beads

A velvet bow was added to the back to conceal an extension added when the dress was altered to fit a larger size.

Measurements: 

Pit to pit : 19 1/2 in laying flat

Waist (empire waist) 16 1/2 flat

Under skirt hips : 19in flat

Length of under skirt 42in

Length of top skirt 42in long

Extremely flowy two full circles
